1992 BMW E30 318 Cabrio convertible in a beautifull green with a dark cloth top. This was the first car I bought myself — picked it up from a young guy in Belgium who'd enjoyed it for a couple of years — and I've kept it because I love the lines and how it drives. It's a straightforward, reliable E30: the 318's modest engine is easy to live with, the gearbox shifts cleanly, and the chassis still rewards a bend in the road. The interior is simple and well cared-for; the top goes down easily for long days out. Nothing exotic, just a beautiful, honest convertible that still turns heads. I've taken it on plenty of trips — Italy, the Swiss Alps, the Black Forest — and my favorite memory is the long, sunlit drives with the roof open.
