A Classic Kind Of Weekend

Another weekend another classic car event! On this occasion, it was time for BookAclassic to head back to Malta and more specifically the Malta Car Classic 2018. Spread over four days from the 11thto the 14ththe national event hosted over 70 pre-1975 classic cars on the roads of Mdina and Melleiha. Now in its 11thyear Malta opened its doors again to thousands of classic car enthusiasts as well as the more casual visitor and families. A testament to the allure of classic vehicles and a celebration of some of the World’s most iconic automobiles.

Forming  A Tradition

The Malta car classic can trace its roots back to 2007, small change of course when dealing in classic car vintage but it is quickly becoming a staple of the Maltese calendar and a tradition that should long continue. The first ever Malta Classic Car Grand Prix organised by French entrepreneur Thierry Giovannini brought together some of the finest classic cars in Europe, by 2009 the Valletta Grand Prix foundation had been established and then in 2011, the Malta Classic moved to its current location of Mdina, in the centre of the island.

Meet & Greet

As is always the case at such events it was a pleasure to meet so many passionate classic car owners and enthusiasts. With the sharing-economy booming, it was a great opportunity for BookAclassic to show off the platform and explain how driving your favourite classic should not be a dream but your reality!

Reflections On A Great Weekend

We always love returning to Malta, a beautiful country with a real affinity for classic cars. The event itself was a great success and benefitted from the great organization by everyone involved. It is great to see real classic car people sharing the joy with a more casual observer, so naturally, it felt right that Malta would be the perfect location for our first BookAclassic driving experiences where you can hire an amazing classic and have the trip of a lifetime.
