Land Rover launches tour of its classic car restoration workshop

Land Rover Classic has launched what it calls the Reborn Tour, which gives visitors the chance to watch the restoration of an early Land Rover at its workshop in Solihull.

The three-hour tour aims to provide an insight into Land Rover’s history at the plant, as well as demonstrating 1940s production techniques - many of which were used in producing the original Series 1 in 1948 until the Defender ceased production earlier this year.

Last year’s tour celebrating the final year of Defender production was seen by more than 10,000 people. This feature has been relocated alongside the Classic Workshop at Solihull as part of the Reborn Tour experience.
