1988 Nissan D21

The Nissan Desert Runner is a grown-up Tyco truck in the truest sense. In 1988, the 4×4 Desert Runner shouted from showroom floors with large black tires and bold red and blue stripes that burst across the D21’s white slab sides. Up top, a modular roll bar sports a quartet of grilled lamps; from the rear, a bed-mounted spare wheel enclosed by a low-drag perforated vinyl tailgate net. Further perks included the top-trim throttle-body-injected VG30i V6 with tachometer and limited-slip rear differential. The rest of it may have been standard Hardbody, but this Hardbody is cool, and it's the only one in Canada!
