1969 Mercedes-Benz W114/8 280CE coupe with an automatic transmission — fully restored and given a modern, personal touch while keeping the classic profile intact. I bought it from a dealer in Odense and had it gone through top to bottom. It now wears a unique metallic flake paint that shifts color in the sun, and the original “Barok” wheels were disassembled, widened and deepened, then upgraded from 14” to 17” for a firmer stance. The car keeps an original feel — including the signature vertical headlights — but with some contemporary updates. There’s no B-pillar, so when the windows are down the whole side opens up and it feels wonderfully airy on back-road runs. A fun slice of provenance: I later discovered the car once belonged to Solvei Andersen, a famous name in Danish smuggling history, and her name is actually welded into the front apron. It’s a conversation starter wherever we go. That why there is a diesel engine installed in the car, because she used it for business meetings in Lithuania. It’s best suited for scenic drives, classic car shows, or a relaxed weekend cruise through the countryside. Send a booking request and we’ll sort pickup details and any questions you have.
