1961 Lancia Appia Convertibile Vignale sedan in a very rare original color. I rescued this car from an old family friend; after years of neglect it was recovered and put back into working order, and it's been a careful possession ever since. This Appia is a very particular car — only a handful were built by Vignale and even fewer survive, so it always draws attention. It retains many period details and the kind of small, idiosyncratic charm Lancia did best. Mechanically it’s sound for classic‑car driving; expect a leisurely, engaged drive rather than modern performance. My favorite runs are the mountain roads toward the lake and the castles around the Castelli Romani — it's happiest on winding lanes where you can enjoy the character of the engine and the car's steering.
