After countless kilometers exploring the rugged beauty around Queenstown in various commercial Defenders & Landcruisers, I wanted something that could carry that same spirit but with a presence you couldn't ignore. Rangatira found me for those reasons: he’s built for the mountains yet has an elegance that turns heads on flat roads and in front of cameras. I named him Rangatira — chief, guardian — because he feels like a trusted companion on every rugged path and photoshoot. I source, maintain and prepare each ride with the same care I’d give a family car: meticulous mechanical attention, thoughtful details, and a readiness for adventure or a production set. There’s a particular joy in watching Rangatira arrive on location, the way light plays off its lines and people suddenly look up.
