Provenance & History
History; The car was ordered in 1937 by the famous London Rolls Royce dealer Jack Barclay Limited, on behalf of the first owner Captain John Stroyan of the Royal Field artillery. Captain Stroyan chose the renown coach builder Windover Ltd based in Huntington and London, renown for the building of luxury coaches for the aristocracy and royalty. Following the death of Captain Striyan in 1941 the car remained in Scotland at Coalville Limited until at least 1953. It then ended up across the Atlantic in the United States of America for many years until it was brought back to England in 2001. The car remained in private ownership until it joined us in 2019.
