1939 Jaguar Jaguar One and a half Saloon

This rare 1939 SS Jaguar 1.5 Saloon (one of only 18 of its type known to remain) has been restored over the last 5 years. It retains all of its original features which have either been reconditioned or replaced with new/old stock or re-engineered parts. As a result, the car has proven reliable since its re-commissioning in 2022. With a completely re-built engine, now suitably run-in, she runs easily at 45-50 mph all day, with a top speed of about 60mph. It took the owners comfortably to and from the Loire Valley every year since 2022 without missing a beat. The beautiful patinated leather interior reflects the ultimate style of upmarket 1930s motoring. Ideal for weddings and of course period film sets, this vintage classic attracts huge attention wherever it goes. The car is in great condition, smart but not a showroom queen, being driven regularly by the owners (except in the harshest weather!) It is be a very unusual stylish addition to a Brides wonderful wedding event. Whilst designed as a four passenger (plus driver) car, the rear bench seat accommodates two adults across comfortably, plus a small child in the centre. The vehicle will not be run after dusk, owing to the poor headlights of its era.
