The Mercedes-Benz W111 series is renowned for its longevity and effortless elegance and these ‘fin-tailed’ cars are extremely popular now among discerning enthusiasts who appreciate their American-influenced styling and rock-solid engineering. Built on the 27th April 1961 and first registered in May of the same year, this 220SEb stayed in the same Swiss family for half a century, until 2010, when it was sold through Bonhams in Monaco to the first UK owner. Part of a small collection, “rarely went out on the road and then only in dry weather." “in 1975 it had mechanical renovation and then in 1982 substantial work on the body. On both occasions work was carried out to a high standard by Mercedes.” This is a beautiful rare car in very good condition. For wet days there is a back up Bentley Continental GT in Black with light cream interior.
