1966 Morris Mini Moke
This is a very rare vehicle, a Morris Mini Moke, built at BMC's Cowley, Oxfordshire factory and first registered on the 1st of July 1966, that remains original, bar the paintwork, and has never been restored. The epitome of Great Britain in the Swinging Sixties – its truly iconic and classless status further engraved in the public consciousness by numerous cameo appearances in globally popular television series and scores of mainstream films ('The Avengers', 'The Prisoner', 'Minder', the James Bond/007 franchise, 'Emmanuelle' and 'Carry on Camping', plus many others both at home and abroad) – it has a genuine Mini Cooper S 1,275cc engine (unmodified but with 76bhp, 55 per cent more power than the standard 848cc unit, it is endowed with surprisingly swift acceleration), gearbox, driveshafts and front disc brakes, believed to have been fitted no later than 1968 but very possibly before this date or even from new; the unique, subtly multi-hued paintwork (clearly professionally applied and not inexpensive), complete with bare-breasted 'fish woman' mural on the bonnet, dates from around the same period. The easily removeable roll-over bar was fitted in 2003/2004 and the fully functioning hood is under 1,800 miles old.
