1969 Triumph TR6

Triumph TR6 convertible Classic English Sports Car Old English White Engine was completely and professionally rebuilt four years ago and has done approximately 2000 miles since then. Lead free conversion on the head at the same time. New oil pump. A full service has just been done by a professional Classic Car mechanic Tom Luther who was a Henlys North London mechanic in 1974 and has worked on these cars for the past 40 years. It has a ‘Revotec’ cooling fan and controller and a re-cored radiator was fitted three years ago with all new hoses. It has a Toyota Supra five speed gearbox conversion with new three piece clutch fitted at the same time the engine was rebuilt. Engine and gearbox work alone cost £7.5k. Interior was re-trimmed by Mel Langdell of Interior Cars in Teignmouth 2 ½ years ago to Kris’ specification including cream leather trim on the dash top, crash pads and door cappings. Door cards were made to match the seat. Moto Lita steering wheel and new walnut dashboard. Running on reconditioned 1 ¾ SU HS6 carburettors, much more reliable than the Lucas fuel injection or original Strombergs . The brakes were overhauled two years ago including the calipers and are excellent (for a TR6). Original steel wheels were shot blasted and powder coated, tyres as you can see are all good and matching. It has a Phoenix full bore exhaust that was very expensive (about £500) and sounds absolutely stunning. A new fuel pump has been recently fitted. The red mohair hood, three years old Original white paintwork that has had some recent cosmetic work but is generally very good original condition The car is in regular use – once a week in the summer and has just been treated to a full body, clay bar, deep cleanse, polish and seal with Carnauba wax. The leather has been enriched with saddle soap and is excellent condition, and the chrome has been hand polished.
