1971 Lotus Elan

This is a lovely example of the classic 1960's Lotus Elan Drop Head Coupe. Originally built in 1971, this car has been recently restored and is in very good condition cosmetically and mechanically. This is a Series 4 Special Equipment Elan and has had some work done on the camshafts, engine breathing and cooling, so the motor is delivering some 140bhp and it is very capable in modern traffic. The Lotus Elan has great provenance on both the big and small screens, perhaps most famously as Emma Peel's favoured transport in the original Avengers TV series. As well as being a great sports car, the Elan is a classic icon of the 60's and early 70's, and this car would make a great addition to any event/production.
