1974 Land Rover Lightweight Air Portable Series 3

Welcome to my cold war era military Land Rover 'Lightweight' air portable 12 volt GS. This was in service with the Royal Air Force and spent some of it's working life at RAF Cosford primarily designed to be lifted by helicopter and 'dropped' where needed! It is currently liveried in RAF Regiment Rapier Ground Defence colours and has the original Sankey trailer to accompany it; both are painted in the correct NATO olive drab paint. She is affectionately known as 'Lara' and she can transport 5 guests happily over most terrain. She can be stripped to the basics by removing the canvas roof and doors making for an interesting bimble or left pretty much weather proof as is. I can provide you with a 6x9 period command tent which fits onto the back of Lara allowing for a dry space for a DJ booth or simply to serve drinks and nibbles complete with camouflaged netting to make for the full experience. I also have an array of other period 1970's military items to complete the set.
