1976 Land Rover Serie III 88" SWB

1976 Land Rover Series III 88" short-wheelbase SUV. I was given this one by my father as a project on my 13th birthday and spent the next year rebuilding her and over the last 17 years updating and improving her to what you see know, so it’s been my pride and joy for a long time. It’s a proper, honest Series III — simple, rugged, and full of character. The body shows the kind of patina you expect after decades of use, and there are a few friendly dents from outdoor adventures, but mechanically it’s sorted for road and light off-road use. I’ve kept the original fittings where possible, so it still feels like a Land Rover from the 1970s rather than a modern reinterpretation. It’s the sort of classic SUV that draws attention at car shows and is happy on a coastal dirt track. My favorite memory is driving it at my wedding and people loved posing beside it.
