1979 Mitsubishi Colt Sapporo

Hi, here is my Mitsubishi colt Sapporo GSR, 1 of around 5 roadworthy examples left on UK roads. I'ts an original UK car, not an import as many think, the market just wasn't there for them back in the seventies. Being 39 years old it has around 36,000 genuine miles on the clock. It has never been restored, never been welded, and has been looked after well all its life. The tan interior contrasts well with the deep lush, bronze-brown pearlesent paintwork, especially with the sunlight bouncing off it! The Sapporo left the factory with the Colt Sport options of; lower, up-rated suspension, and the alloy wheels. The 2 litre engine is extremely punchy, and the standard twin-carbs realy help it get down the road! The elegance of the lines, the lower stance, and quad headlamp set-up does give this car the edge over many of the RWD Jap cars of the seventies! Between the pillar-less door and rear quarter windows, and the large slab of back-glass, the car not only looks very retro, but also influences a very slight American comparison. One thing is certain, you wont see another one of these anytime soon! Especially with the metallic bronze-brown paint, and the deep pile carpets, a slice of 1979 Japan!
