1980 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk1

1980 Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk1 hatchback in Alpine White — a true series 1 GTI and, as far as I know, the only original series 1 that left the factory in this color. The car was off the road for 25 years and I recently had it fully recommissioned, so it’s back to reliable driving while keeping its original character. It’s very original throughout: period-correct interior, original trim, and that compact GTI feel that made these cars famous. Runs and drives well after the recommissioning; ideal for period TV/film work, photo shoots, or anyone who wants an authentic Mk1 without a heavy resto. Expect the quirks of a car with its original parts — not a modernized replica, but a genuine example.
