1981 Ford Fiesta Supersport hatchback — originally a 1.3 Ghia that I’ve had modified to wear Supersport trim with a 1.6-litre XR2 engine and a five-speed gearbox. It’s a small, lively classic that feels exactly like going back to my youth. Inside are RS Turbo Recaro seats (comfortable and supportive), and the car’s been sorted to match the drivetrain — lively, not fast, but very engaging. It’s been used on weekend runs and longer road trips to the North Yorkshire moors, where it earned a few smiles and plenty of waved hellos.
