1970 Jaguar E-type Series 2 DHC
A handsome example of the iconic British roadster, presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. Powered by a 4.2-litre straight-six, which is fed by triple SU carburettors and drives the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with synchromesh. The engine had a complete rebuild in 2021 that included air rams, refurbished carburettors with new pins, gas-flowed head, new valves with bronze guides, new pistons and rings, balanced conrods and crankshaft, re-bored block, lightened flywheel, large bore exhaust manifold and system, new clutch and refurbished gearbox. Finished in its original hue of Pale Primrose, she features a partially retrimmed interior and halogen headlamps. She was first registered to Mary Farrin, a celebrated knitwear designer who had a boutique in South Molton Street in London’s West End.
