Before I purchased this car over a year ago, I did a great deal of research in order to find the best example of this model that I could. It has very low former ownership, the last for sixteen years, garaged and driven for only 10k. Its total now is 76k and I would call it in near-mint condition, slightly above VGC. Last month it had a Jaguar service and four new tyres. It drives in relative silence but growls when you want to witness the full presence of the big, smooth 4.0ltr V8 engine. I have driven it almost non-stop from Wimbledon to Monaco cruising for hours on the French motorways. It doesn't flinch. If I'm next to it in a car park or petrol station, 90% of the time someone will walk over and ask me about it. It is a real head-turner whenever I drive it. Many former Prime Ministers and Cabinet members had the XJ8 as the car of choice. One Deputy Prime Minister even had two!
