SIMON DIESENDRUCK

I'm Simon — a lifelong car enthusiast who swapped California sunshine for London streets but never stopped chasing great drives. Cars have been part of my story since childhood, and I was lucky enough to be driving a 1965 Mustang in high school — falling in love with the character, sound and presence of classic vehicles. Today that passion continues with my Land Rover 88. It’s a vehicle with personality — rugged, charismatic and perfectly suited to making an event feel genuinely memorable.

This 1982 Series 3 Land Rover was custom built with a brief of "Safari Cool," emphasizing its essence as a spartan, rugged machine. It has been painted in the aptly named "Sahara Dust," a Range Rover colour from the 80s, making this a very rare Series Land Rover. The black wheels and chunky mud terrain tires make for a striking contrast and a very cool looking vehicle. I've tried to keep it as pared back as possible, with just a few special details and add-ons, like the horseshoe on the grille, tartan blanket, and subtle USB sockets in the dash. And lastly, the vehicle's name is Jane (after Jane Goodall, who passed away last year and would've spent a lot of time in old Land Rovers).
