1973 Daimler Double-Six Vanden Plas Series 1

Only around 350 Series 1 Vanden Plas Double-Sixes were ever built, and none were sold new in Australia — the handful here are all private imports. Cars left Coventry in base form and were driven to the Vanden Plas coachworks in north London to be finished individually, with special colours like this car's Morello, additional chrome, and a bespoke coachbuilt interior. This example has covered 68,000 miles, the original Tuscan leather interior is excellent, and the Series 1 V12 with its quad carburettors pulls smoothly and strongly. The respray is in the original colour and the vinyl roof is new.
