BookAclassic insurance is available only for self-drive rentals of vehicles located in the United States and is selected at checkout. Outside the U.S., owners arrange the cover required by local law — check the listing or ask the owner for details.

How do I cancel a booking?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel a booking through your dashboard. Refundable bookings give a full refund of every charge — including the service fee — when cancelled more than 48 hours before pickup; no refund applies within 48 hours of pickup. Non-refundable bookings do not refund any amount on a renter cancellation.

What happens if the car breaks down?

If the car experiences a mechanical issue, contact our support team immediately and we'll coordinate with the owner and arrange an alternative vehicle if needed.

Do I need a special license to drive a classic car?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, a standard valid driver's license is sufficient. Some high-value or performance vehicles may require additional verification. The owner's listing will specify any special requirements.

How are owners paid?

Accepted Answer

Owners receive payment via direct deposit within 48 hours of a completed rental. You can track all your earnings, pending payouts, and history in your dashboard.

Can I list my car on multiple platforms?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You control your car's calendar and can list on other platforms. Just make sure to keep your availability up to date to avoid double bookings.

What if there's damage to the vehicle?

Both parties complete a vehicle inspection before and after each rental, documented with photos. If damage occurs, it is handled through our claims process — under the protection package selected at checkout for U.S. self-drive rentals, or under the cover the owner has arranged elsewhere.
