1979 Land Rover 88 Series 3 Short wheel base
It wasn't for sale but I wanted another project and found this. I probably didn't need a 3rd one, but here we are.... Thanks to a huge amount of time money and effort, it's (still) a rolling project, however it's also an icon of design and masterpiece of engineering all in one. Nothing gets more (positive) attention than this. It's universally loved and surprisingly fun to drive . Cruising the beaches with my dog's ears flapping in the breeze is about as good as life gets
Provenance & History
Built in Sydney (as all Australian Landies were) from a CKD kit. I'm only the 4th owner and it's simply a wonderful old thing. These are just basically big and oily lego sets and the joy is in the simplicity. The gearbox takes a little experience & getting used to so I'd prefer to be the only driver unless it's for a fashion shoot or something similar which doesn't require too much movement. It will go pretty much anywhere. Slowly.....
