1986 Porsche 911 Supersport (Wide Body Turbo-look)

This is a 1986 Porsche Supersport (option code M491). Also known in the USA as the Turbo-body, it shares the body, the brakes and the chassis with the iconic 930 turbo ‘widow maker’. Essentially it’s the 930 without the bit that tries to kill you. The normally aspirated 3.2 litre engine is easier to drive without the famous, chronic turbo-lag. Of the ~70,000 911s made by Porsche between 1984 and 1989, only 269 RHD coupes had the Sonderwunsch ‘special wishes’ division M491 option box ticked, making this rarer than the 1973 2.7 RS. Selecting this option added a 25% premium over the cost of the 'standard' car, which wasn't cheap even then! With only 44,000 miles, this must be one of the lowest mileage in the world. I believe only about 20 came to Australia but that is not possible to validate. How many are left? I've only ever seen 2 for sale.... Visually identical to the absolutely iconic Porsche 930, this shares the body, the brakes and the chassis, just without the famous widowmaker aspect Concours condition and as close to perfect as I can possibly make it. Insurance requirements mean that this is not available for self drive at any price.
