The 450 SLC is one of Mercedes great grand tourers — a long-wheelbase pillarless coupé with a 4.5 litre V8 that earned its motorsport credentials by winning the gruelling 30,000 km South American Rally outright in 1978 against largely standard factory specification. The car is fitted with the period correct AMG Penta wheels and finished in Grey/Blue Metallic paint with a parchment leather interior. It still has the original Becker Mexico Cassette player. The 450SLC was sold new to Neil Fletcher of the well known chain Fletchers Fotographics in 1977 and I have owned it 23 years.
