Even during these “dark days” a few of the very wealthy could afford to order a such a car. The first owner was Mr. F.F. Brewster a wealthy Connecticut industrialist, philanthropist and yachtsman. This PII features a Hibbard & Darrin Transformable body on a left hand drive export chassis. It took Rolls-Royce over two years to hand build the chassis and In today’s dollars, the cost new was nearly $400,000. This unusual combination of body and chassis makes this rare car a one-of-a-kind.
