1961 Jaguar XK150

1961 Jaguar XK 150 Fixed Head Coupe Part of the Steven Arsenault Collection History One of the last 8 off the assembly line and 8 of the 11 manufactured in 1961 that came to North America destined for the California market. The engine is a 3.8 liter straight 6 – 9:1 compression. Fitted with the original Borg-Warner 2 speed automatic (plus overdrive) still has matching numbers. Once owned by the singer/songwriter Cat Stevens. Two of his albums reached triple platinum in the early ’70s. He wrote the song ‘First Cut Is The Deepest’ and the song has been a hit for four different artists. In the ’80s an Alberta oilman purchased is after sitting in a field in Bakersfield California for about 10 years as part of a 4 car Jaguar collection. Moved to Calgary in the mid 80’s the car was sold to a Vancouver man. I purchased the car from him in the summer of 1986. Today the car is our daily driver to the Granville Island market with my co-pilot #Archietheparrot. Recently featured in the driving section of Driving.ca. “WANT TO MEET PEOPLE?
