2009 Jeep Wrangler

Hector was amazing (jeep was great too!)! He picked us up from the airport, and really took care of us. Unfortunately, I did not pay attention to the time we had told Hector we would return the vehicle, and we kept the car an hour later than expected. Hector had turnover that day, so I'm afraid we may have made it a little chaotic for him, but he handled us with grace. This was our first time using driveshare, so it didn't occur to me that it isn't your typical 'car rental' and the timing is important. Thanks again Hector for everything!

Terrible and tricky business, this man shows himself like a big business and busy guy but very cheap personality: Doesn't hold his words and calculates pennies and dimes. He has a lousy jeep and tries to make big bucks from that. Before rental, his responses were very rude. During the rental, he didn't deliver the kayak and snorkels he mentioned on the ad. His pickup location is very dark and shady, he doesn't meet you there so you need to find the car. He didn't even bother to explain how to use AWD so the the ranger rejected us from going to Mauna Kea. The jeep seats doesn't lean back, the cig lighter doesn't work to charge phone, the car is out of power it barely accelerates. He told us he doesn't need the car so we can return the car till 9pm, we went there like 9:05 due to traffic and refuel, he said you used it for extra 5 hours so he'll need to charge us 50 bucks. We were shocked to hear that, on top of the already high rental price (like 100/day). But now I am not shocked at this comment about we returning the vehicle low on fuel, because now I kinda know the guy, he is Hector! We filled up to the max right before dropping the car, FML. Btw this guy charges 500 bucks deposit too, so if you rent from this guy while there are so many cool agents in Turo out there, you are out of your mind. Don't make your nice island trip a disaster and stay away from this scammer.

We were very happy with Hectors rental. Friendly and helped us out a lot with our car rental...Jeep was clean and perfect for the Big Island. AC was cold and never had a mechanical problem....drove well and felt good. Price was better than others. Would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful experience with Hector's Jeep. Hector met us at the airport and was friendly, responsive, and showed a lot of aloha. The Jeep itself ran well and did not have any problems. The front seats did not have a working lever for the seatback, but we improvised with a pillow. Also, the manual door locks took some getting used to.All in all, this rental worked out very well. Thank you Hector. We would definitely use your services again.
