What it's like to drive
Light, simple, and forgiving. The 1.8 engine has plenty of low-down torque, the gearbox is quick (especially with overdrive), and the steering is communicative. Brakes are adequate, not great. Roadsters get loud above 60 mph but stay comfortable on country roads.
What occasions it suits
Smaller weddings, anniversary gifts, day-trip hires, and budget-friendly classic-car-day experiences. A good first classic to drive for someone unfamiliar with old cars.

- A staple of British classic car shows and TV (Inspector Morse, Heartbeat).

- Wedding car (smaller, informal ceremonies)
- First-classic driving experiences
- Anniversary and birthday gifts
