Allied

There are many things that go well together, jam and toast, sun and sand, and of course classic cars and World War 2 films.

Allied, directed by Robert Zemeckis stars Brad Pitt as a Canadian intelligence officer and Marion Cotillard as a French Resistance fighter.

The film centres on a spy (Pitt) who falls in love with another operative  (Cotillard) on a life-or-death undercover assignment, then comes to suspect the relationship itself is part of an even grander deception. This is a seriously glamorous film with locations from Casablanca to  Paris and heaps of classic vehicles to delight everyone whether you're a car lover or not. Thankfully this does not detract from the plot and the emotional stakes remain in crisp focus.
