As talk of Coventry reclaiming the title of Britain’s ‘motor city’ gathers pace on the back of Jaguar Land Rover’s growth plans we’ve been taking a look at the city’s automotive heritage.
Having bought you our pick of the worst cars made in Coventry we’re following it up with some of the best.
Coventry really was once the epicentre of the UK car industry, at one point there were 20 different car makers located in Hillfields alone.
The roll call of Coventry’s numerous car factories includes the likes of Alvis, Armstrong Siddeley, Rootes, Daimler, Jaguar, Hillman, Morris, Triumph and Peugeot.
The city has certainly produced some amazing vehicles, from the Jaguar E-Type to the Triumph TR6.
Although there are scores of great Coventry-made cars to choose from we’ve picked a collection of what we feel are some of the best.
