What if a renter damages my car?

If damage occurs, document it in the return condition report with photos and contact us within 24 hours of the trip ending to open a claim. Our team will guide you through the process. BookAclassic protection packages exist in the US only: US self-drive rentals carry the protection package the renter selected at checkout. Outside the US no such protection package is offered; hosts there choose which rental types they provide, and for chauffeured and event hire the host or a professional driver is the only person who drives the car (see What insurance is included?).

Renters are fully responsible for damage related to misuse, Prohibited Uses, or improper driving (e.g. clutch damage from rough use, suspension damage from kerbing).
