When you can leave a review, how ratings are shown, and how reviews are published when both sides submit or automatically when the reveal deadline passes.
After a trip, both the renter and the host can leave a review. Reviews keep the BookAclassic community honest and help everyone choose who to book with or rent to.
Leaving a review
- You can review the other party once the trip is complete.
- Alongside an overall rating you can rate a few specific aspects of the experience.
- You can add photos to your public review; they go through an automatic safety check when you upload them, and only photos that pass are published.
- Keep feedback fair, factual and about the trip itself.
Private feedback
Alongside the public review you can leave private feedback, a note that is shared only with the other party once the reviews are published. It never appears on anyone's public profile, so it's the right place for constructive suggestions you'd rather share one-to-one.
When reviews appear
Reviews are revealed when both sides have submitted theirs, or automatically when the reveal deadline passes, whichever comes first. A renter's public review appears on the car page, while a host's public review appears on the renter's profile. Until then, you can't see what the other party wrote, and they can't see yours. This keeps reviews honest by stopping either side from waiting to match or react to the other.
Keeping reviews trustworthy
- Reviews go through the same safety checks as messages, so contact details and outside links won't appear.
- Reviews that are abusive or break the rules can be removed.
A review can't be changed once both are published, so take a moment before you submit. If a review breaks the rules, report it to support@bookaclassic.com.
