How car delivery and airport delivery work, how the delivery fee is worked out, and when delivery is included in the price.
Many hosts will bring the car to you instead of meeting at their own location. Where a host offers it, you'll see a Delivery option at checkout alongside free pickup.
Choosing delivery at checkout
Pick Delivery and enter the address, such as a hotel, your home, a venue or an airport. BookAclassic works out the driving distance from where the car is based and adds a Delivery line to your price breakdown so you can see the cost before you confirm.
How the delivery fee is worked out
- Each host sets their own delivery pricing: a fee per mile/kilometre, and often a minimum delivery charge.
- Some hosts include a free delivery radius close to the car, with the fee only applying to the distance beyond it.
- Hosts also set a maximum delivery distance. If your address is further than that, delivery isn't available there and checkout will let you know.
Airport delivery
Some hosts deliver to and collect from specific airports, which is handy if you're flying in. Where it's offered, choose the airport as your delivery location; an airport delivery fee may apply and is shown in the breakdown.
Chauffeured and event rentals always include the car being brought to you, since you don't drive it yourself. For self-drive, delivery is an optional extra a host may offer. See Fees explained for how delivery sits alongside the other charges.
