A walk-through of choosing a rental type, requesting dates, paying, picking up and returning the vehicle.

Renting on BookAclassic is a simple flow: choose a car and rental type, request or instant-book, hand over, and return.

1. Search and choose a rental type

Use the search page to filter by location, dates and rental type. Every listing is one of three types: self-drive (you drive), Chauffeur (the owner drives, priced by the hour) or event (the car is supplied for a shoot, display or wedding). The type is shown on the listing along with the rate, any mileage allowance, the cancellation policy, and any minimum-age or experience requirements.

2. Request or Instant Book

Send a request to the owner, or confirm immediately if the listing supports Instant Book. You're only charged once the booking is confirmed; on a request, the owner has up to 48 hours to accept.

3. Pick-up

You'll arrange the meeting point and time directly with the owner through the in-app messages. Together you complete a condition report with photos before keys change hands.

4. Drive and return

Return the car at the agreed time and location, with the same fuel level. A second condition report closes out the trip and any deposit is released.
